About Baron Greenback

Baron Greenback started out in 2006 as Black Abba, when Gavin Coulson and Tim Gillespie, tired of playing METAL (though they still dabble - see Gav's site), decided to put together a set of songs based around a few Abba classics. Gav's always been partial to a bit of Abba, like.

Anyway, the set expanded to include Men At Work, Duran Duran, Blondie, Sparks, Talking Heads, A-Ha and many more of those special "guilty pleasures" bands from their thirty-something youth.

With Gav on guitar, keyboard and vocals and Tim on drums and vocals, the band needed a rock-solid bassist and third vocalist, and the pair's former retail colleague Liz Hunter agreed to do the business.

The result: pop like you've (probably) never heard it before.
