Hello. Welcome to the online home of Baron Greenback. Eventually our lazy-arsed drummer will put lots of interesting things on here, but in the meantime you should know that Baron Greenback are a three-piece band based in West Yorkshire, playing our own takes on some of the "guilty pleasure" songs from the '70s and '80s that we all know and secretly love. From the classic to the downright cringe-worthy, we'll bash 'em out.
We've played a few gigs as "Black Abba", so if you've seen them, you've seen us (you lucky, lucky people). We changed the name because although we do play a few of the Swedish masters' songs, we felt we were disappointing a certain demographic group who would turn up expecting an Abba tribute, only to end up confused and frightened when the band launched into a Sparks number.
